Spring is a beautiful time that can lift our spirits and bring us joy. As a breathwork and somatic therapy coach, I believe engaging in fun, and uplifting activities can be a powerful tool for managing stress and anxiety. In this blog post, I'll share some of my favorite activities that can help to eliminate anxiety and bring happiness during the Spring season.

 

Spend time in nature.

Spring is the perfect time to get outside and enjoy the beauty of nature. Whether hiking in the woods, walking in the park, or having a picnic in a scenic spot, spending time in nature can be incredibly grounding and calming. Research has shown that spending time in nature can lower stress levels and improve mood.

Try a new hobby.

Spring is a great time to try something new and exciting. Whether taking a dance class, learning a new language, or picking up a new sport, trying a new hobby can be a fun and rewarding way to reduce stress and anxiety. When we engage in activities we enjoy, our brains release dopamine, a neurotransmitter associated with pleasure and happiness.

 

Have a spring cleaning day.

Spring cleaning can be a great way to eliminate clutter and create a sense of order. Decluttering our physical space can also help to declutter our minds and reduce feelings of overwhelm and anxiety. Put on some music, open the windows, and have a fun and productive day of cleaning and organizing.

 

Connect with loved ones.

Spring is a time of renewal and growth, which makes it a great time to connect with loved ones. Whether having a picnic with friends, going on a bike ride with the family, or taking a road trip with a partner, spending quality time with loved ones can be a powerful antidote to stress and anxiety. Research has shown that social connection is essential for our well-being and can help to reduce feelings of loneliness and depression.
